Likewise, Ireland has ambitious targets that are line with the EU-wide emissions reduction target of 40% by 2030 and 95% by 2050, compared with 1990 levels.

Biomethane process gfd

Managing the Renewable Gas Process

Biomethane is a renewable substitute for natural gas and meets the required specification to allow injection directly into the national gas grid. 

The by-product of the process, called digestate, is returned to farming lands for use as an organic fertiliser, reducing reliance on synthetic alternatives.

 

GFD have experience of managing the full project lifecycle – from initial inception, through to construction and operation.
